• Fitted sleeve for anvil clamping device
• Original design, customer only provided dimensions for device to cover
• Chose neoprene-comparable fabric for first prototype for stretching ability and
   padding
• Chose a hook and loop closure for easy placement and removal
• Developed pattern to account for material stretch and eliminating machine overcut
• Reduced costs significantly by switching material to vinyl and customer-supplied
   rubber for 2nd prototype
• Explored seam allowance widths and placement to reduce bulk and account for end
   use
• Adjusted pattern, operations, and sewing machine settings to prevent tearing of thick
   rubber
