The average American woman is a size 14, where plus size generally begins.  The plus size woman wants to wear what her friends are wearing and still be comfortable.  The products in this collection were specifically designed as plus size for Lane Bryant during the spring season.  To flatter the figure, many products have strategically placed seam lines, hems, necklines, and sleeves.  Three key items were developed to be placed at the front of the store and have mannequins styled around.  Inspiration was drawn from the outdoors and nature, utilizing natural colors, textures, and fabric as well as some outdoor apparel design elements.
